Workstar 8.4m landing craft

The 8.4m aluminium landing craft is a modification from the original design, with a wider beam and wider bow door, which makes for a very capable craft, able to carry up to 1500kg in sheltered/semi-sheltered waters; road vehicles such as Land Cruisers and Land Rovers, small tractors, backhoes and building materials. Construction of the 8.4m is from a kit with the parts profiled in 5mm, 6mm, 10mm and 12mm 5083 H111 marine aluminium and T60 series extrusions. On payment of the Licence Fee individual builders, boat and ship yards are supplied with the  construction drawings and cutting files for the 8.4m aluminium landing craft or, at an additional cost, with a full kit of the profiled Al parts and extrusions – to which may be added deck hatches, engines, fittings and equipment at the client’s discretion.

Equipped with twin 150hp/112kW Yamaha 4-stroke outboard engines, the Workstar 8.4m landing craft will achieve in excess of 34kts lightship.This fast 8.4m aluminium landing craft is a well proven vessel and is of a useful size and capacity that will fulfil many workboat requirements at a modest cost.
